SOMEWHERE IN OREGON (SP) -- Aintitcool.com released a pic today from Bruce Campbell's upcoming flick "They Call Me Bruce." Longtime SPORTING PRESS readers might recognize former OKC newsman Ben McCain at far right.
UPDATE: Received an e-mail from Ben who reveals that Brother Butch is also in the shot: Fourth from left with long hair, fake teeth and ball cap.
Those of you who doubted my curse doubted your maker.

Lord, you ain't kidding. Why don't the Sooners just give up on football? Eternal frustration is all they can look forward to.
Goddamittee.

Undefeated Boise State is the official National Champion of Sporting Press. Anything is better than those obnoxious Buckeye fans and their gay sweater-vest-and-tie-wearing coach.

A shame they don't have a message board like real sports web sites do.

Since when has anyone confused this with a real sports Web site?

Good point....but still.
I mean The Lord sends messages to this site.

Surgeons at Baltimore County Memorial Hospital announced today that they have successfully amputated LDB's legs.
Dr. Bucky Showalter expressed astonishment at discovering that Mr. LDB's right leg was "hollow" and "filled with a substance that looked and tasted exactly like Wild Turkey 101".
LDB released a statement lamenting the lack of support from SP Poosters. "If the sumbitches hadn't been so cheap, by God I'd have my legs today. I needed $60K but all they came up with was $22K and change. If the sumbitches had a real message board, I'd have been home free. It is hard to solicit on this piece of crap!"
Hospital authorities said they are establishing a fund to buy LDB some new high tech artificial legs. Donations are welcome.

This is a great tragedy.
I for one intend to donate my life savings toward the purchase of new legs for our brother LDB.
I trust that others will join me in the shame we should all feel for letting one of our poosters so completely down. Be generous.
